A New Direction: Music Tech

I’m excited about today…

Usually, in these pages, I talk about companies, products, trends and generally, everything happening around me in our industry. But today is a little different. Today’s news is about my company.

I’m very excited to announce that I’m expanding my PR and communications consultancy to the Music Tech space. I’ve been a musician/guitarist most of my life – it’s my passion – so it is quite a natural evolution that I begin representing companies who make the gear I use everyday.

If you’re a hardware or software developer creating innovative gear and products for musicians, I’d love to hear from you.

Here’s the news release with more details:

BourkePR Expands Public Relations and Communications Strategy Consultancy to Music Tech Markets

New Services Focused on Raising Visibility for Innovative Music Tech Developers

BOSTON, MA (November 29, 2017) – BourkePR (www.bourkepr.com) today announced it is expanding its public relations and communications strategy services to the Music Tech market. With this new growth opportunity, BourkePR is extending its practice to technology companies developing hardware and software products for musicians, composers and audio engineers, and comprising solutions ranging from AI-driven composition, mixing and mastering software, DAWs and digital effects plugins and software applications.

With more than 15 years in the Entertainment Media Tech space – working with companies in broadcast, video production, post production, audio engineering and live streaming – BourkePR founder and principal, Kevin Bourke, is tapping into his personal passions and experiences as a musician combined with his communications expertise to bring Visibility Management services to technology companies in this fast-growing market.

“I’ve built my business helping companies of all sizes get the attention and visibility they deserve. I’ve built brands that were once unknowns, helping them become household names in the Entertainment Media Tech space,” said Bourke. “My decision to expand into Music Tech stems from a couple of areas; Music Tech is a natural extension of Entertainment Media Tech and there is significant cross-opportunity with the video production/post production market. My experience and connections in these markets run deep. But more importantly, I’m a musician; I’ve been a guitarist most of my life. I believe that no one understands music technology and gear better than the musicians who use them everyday – be it for pleasure, or if they depend on their gear to make their living.”

Bourke continued, “I approach PR and communications differently. Successfully communicating with the Music Tech market is not about buzzwords and jargon. It’s about getting the right messages and gear in front of the right people, and telling it like it is. I’m in a unique position because I live and breathe this gear. I use it everyday. And for me it’s personal, it’s my passion. I’m also in a position to propel these companies into the spotlight. I bring clients and influencers together and put great companies doing innovative things on the map.”
